Here is a look at the 2025-26 school calendar! These calendars have been approved by our Highline Education Association (teachers union) members. These dates and breaks will be reflected on our website calendar.

At its June 18 meeting, the Highline School Board was introduced to a resolution to place an educational programs and operation levy on the November 2025 ballot. This levy would renew local funding for educational programs, services and staff—filling the gap between what the state provides and what’s needed to support all Highline students.

Highline is offering free summer meals to all children and teens ages 18 and younger. Youth do not need to be enrolled in Highline Public Schools to participate—everyone is welcome!

We know that recent immigration enforcement actions — both nationally and locally — have raised concern in our community. We want to reassure you that our schools are prepared, and we have clear steps in place to protect students and respond to any requests from government agencies.

The proposed 2025-26 budget includes no major cuts, thanks to stable enrollment and past reductions. But gaps in state funding remain. Share your input in our online ThoughtExchange and speak at the public hearing on June 25.

Under a sunny June sky, gold shovels tied with green ribbons broke ground in front of Pacific Middle School — symbolizing the start of a long-awaited new chapter. More than 200 students, families, alumni, elected officials and community members gathered to celebrate the future and say goodbye.
